Most importantly, our Fob is discreet, easy to use, and equipped with a long-life battery – making it the ideal safety device for those who work alone on a daily basis.

An accessible alarm system allows users to instantly send out an alert should they feel under threat, while two-way open channel emergencies and GPS location services allow supervisors to locate and speak to their employees immediately.

  • Our Lone Worker fob is compact, discreet, and lightweight. It can be taken anywhere and everywhere and can be worn in a number of different ways. Whether you prefer it on your key ring, around your neck, or on your wrist, it’s always accessible.
  • An accessible alarm can be activated at the touch of a button, making it easy for employees to send an alert should they feel threatened.
  • Supervisors can opt to be connected to their lone workers’ fobs during an emergency thus opening a two-way channel that will allow them to communicate directly with their team members. They will also be able to pick up and listen to the audio files saved by the lone workers in the administration portal.
  • Our improved battery keeps your employees safe in the field for longer, reducing the chance that battery failure will put a worker in danger.
  • GPS location function means that employees can be located immediately whenever an alarm is activated. This gives employers the greatest possible chance of protecting a lone worker in danger.
  • A vibrating response feature alerts the user to the fact that their alarm has been received and a response is being made. This reassures employees and helps them remain calm when faced with potentially challenging situations.

“The Shield Lone Worker Fob broadens the choices for organisations that need to support those of their lone workers who are working in environments with heightened risks, such as in rural areas, inner city areas, in the prison services, in social care, and in mental healthcare.” Mary Elizabeth Fannon, National Manager – Shield Lone Worker

How Does a Lone Worker Fob Work?

The portable fob device is connected to the Shield Lone Worker Monitoring System administration portal, allowing data acquired by the device to be viewed in real-time from remote locations. This gives supervisors the ability to monitor the historic movements of an individual and listen to voice recordings made by lone workers.

The fob also utilises a traditional SIM to facilitate voice communication and trigger the emergency phone tree. When an alarm is raised, calls are made to the pre-arranged phone tree, alerting those responsible for the safety of the lone worker to a potential threat. This can be triggered because the individual in question has activated the alarm or there was no response to a scheduled check-in call.

Thousands of lone workers already access the Inform Shield Lone Worker system daily from within the following public and private sectors:

“The system has been helping us to support staff who work off-site and who may find themselves in situations that make them unexpectedly vulnerable. The system is simple to use, available for users to access on a 24/7 basis and fits in seamlessly with all our existing staff safety systems.”

“Our lone workers have been using the CRISYS system since January 2006. The system has helped them to feel more confident about visits in the community and most staff find the CRISYS system simple and easy to use. The CRISYS system has enabled us to fulfil our Health and Safety Lone Working Policy requirements in a professional way and provides good value.”

Chris Small, Head of Service, Norfolk Youth Offending Team

“My team includes front line staff who often work alone in very rural/wild areas of countryside, and can be in vulnerable situations. We needed a lone worker support solution that was accessible at week-ends and night-time as well as during office hours. Crisys works for us as it is stand-alone, straightforward to use and flexible in respect of changing staff – it does of course require a phone signal and that’s something to check in rural areas. This system is effective, affordable and backs up our health and safety policies.”
